NBC reports that S/P Mueller has launched a criminal investigation into Tony Podesta (brother of Hillary’s campaign chair), and his lobbying firm (co-founded w/ brother John).
......the FBI gathered evidence for two years as Russian agents — including a major sleeper cell — worked to gain access to then-Secy of State Clinton, husband Bill, and members of their inner circle.
All of which underscores that Russia has long been trying to worm its way into US politics.....an effort far beyond any schemes to help elect Donald Trump.
The Podesta probe concerns his apparent failure to fully disclose spending (a felony) while lobbying for a pro-Russian Ukrainian group.....(NOTE lefty Democrats sicced Mueller on Trump man Paul Manafort in which Manafort and his wife were subjected to an armed midnight invasion of their home).
The Podesta firm updated its foreign-agent-registration forms retroactively, only after news reports disclosed payments from the "European Center for a Modern Ukraine."
The Hill is reporting new details of a years-long FBI investigation that tracked Moscow’s covert influence-buying activities — including planting a spy posing as an accountant in the offices of a top Clinton donor.
Team Hillary has long denied that she was a target of the spy ring, but an FBI source told The Hill: “There is not one shred of doubt from the evidence that we had that the Russians had set their sights on Clinton’s inner circle.”
Significantly, this follows reports the then-president Obama admin knew Russia was engaged in bribery and extortion — yet allowed a deal to go through giving Moscow control of one-fifth of America’s uranium.....(Obama's dark wish to reduce America's supremacy in the world).

The ring highlights the long-standing efforts Russia has made to gain access to U.S. officials, which sprouted up well before the last election. But the recent events also illustrate how Russia’s efforts have advanced.
Figliuzzi said they show a “logical evolution or morphing of methodology to exploit social media in a way that is far more effective and potentially damaging” than the spy ring rolled up in 2010.
“We watched a sleeper cell of 10 people for 10 years that didn't come close to the impact of a few thousand ads and posts on Facebook, Twitter, Google and Instagram,” he said.
Who is this clown? So, Russian spies getting into lobbying firms, gaining access to State Department officials, and trying to get their hands on "non-public" information from State, and constituting enough of a security threat that TEN Russian spies were expelled from the U.S., is not nearly as bad as the Russians posting $100,000 worth of ADS on Facebook and Twitter? Really? Am I misreading this or something?
