Now Democrats have a Russia problem (Mueller, himself, opened the books on this one)
NY POST.COM ^ | 10/23/17 | NY POST EDITORIAL

NBC reports that S/P Mueller has launched a criminal investigation into Tony Podesta (brother of Hillary’s campaign chair), and his lobbying firm (co-founded w/ brother John).

......the FBI gathered evidence for two years as Russian agents — including a major sleeper cell — worked to gain access to then-Secy of State Clinton, husband Bill, and members of their inner circle.

All of which underscores that Russia has long been trying to worm its way into US politics.....an effort far beyond any schemes to help elect Donald Trump.

The Podesta probe concerns his apparent failure to fully disclose spending (a felony) while lobbying for a pro-Russian Ukrainian group.....(NOTE lefty Democrats sicced Mueller on Trump man Paul Manafort in which Manafort and his wife were subjected to an armed midnight invasion of their home).

The Podesta firm updated its foreign-agent-registration forms retroactively, only after news reports disclosed payments from the "European Center for a Modern Ukraine."

The Hill is reporting new details of a years-long FBI investigation that tracked Moscow’s covert influence-buying activities — including planting a spy posing as an accountant in the offices of a top Clinton donor.

Team Hillary has long denied that she was a target of the spy ring, but an FBI source told The Hill: “There is not one shred of doubt from the evidence that we had that the Russians had set their sights on Clinton’s inner circle.”

Significantly, this follows reports the then-president Obama admin knew Russia was engaged in bribery and extortion — yet allowed a deal to go through giving Moscow control of one-fifth of America’s uranium.....(Obama's dark wish to reduce America's supremacy in the world).

...”[Cynthia] Murphy had several work-related personal meetings with [a prominent New York-based financier, name omitted] and was assigned his account,” one FBI record from the case read. “The message accurately described the financier as ‘prominent in politics,’ ‘an active fund-raiser’ for [a major political party, name omitted] and a ‘personal friend’ of [a current Cabinet official, name redacted].”

Multiple current and former officials confirmed to The Hill that the Cabinet officer was Hillary Clinton, the fundraiser was New York financier Alan Patricof and the political party was the Democratic National Committee...

There is only one reason: they know this is exploding, they will throw Cankles and possibly Combover and Lynchmob to the prosecutors in hopes of firewalling the whole DemoKKKrat Party.

I wish I could share your optimism Larry but I consider the Tony Podesta Event as an attempt by Mueller to actually do something (given the total lack of Trump-Russia evidence) while remaining as far away from Hillary-Obama-Uranium as possible.

Here is my simple explanation of that view that I posted yesterday in the Byron York article. I would lump the Tony Podesta initiative in with Byron York's observation that Mueller is moving his focus away from Trump and to the Russians interference in the 2016 election - his attempt to do something while staying as far away from Hillary as possible. And I would add, while staying well away from his own involvement in the Uranium deal.

Here is my post from yesterday.

****

Byron York, a pretty darn smart guy, is on to something. Here is my easy explanation for his observation taken from Mueller’s Perspective:

Trump + Russia = Dead End.
Russia + 2016 = The Obvious Fallback to avoid the nightmare of ...
Russia + Uranium + Hillary + Bill = Game, Set, Match for Trump

Now that Russia has abandoned communism, it should be at the bottom tier of our enemies list. Republicans should be for working with Russia over how to contain an aggressive Islam, rather than gleefully shouting, in effect, “Look—the Democrats did it too.”

To drain the swamp, Trump has to permanently separate the Uniparty (R & D’s) from their profiteering schemes, power structures and its global apparatus. To do so, requires unwinding the web of financial, corruption, terrorism, and white collar crimes. The Uniparty knows this. It is why the Republicans don’t defend Trump. It is why Democrats want to impeach him. It is also why Trump is beating the grass to startle the snakes.

That is the problem. The scope of the corruption is nearly unimaginable. All responsible need to hang.

Love your insights, LS - and your optimism. But once burned, twice shy. And we normal Americans have been burned countless times by swampy “probes,” “inquiries,” and “investigations.”

Hoping you’re right!

“.....the Russia investigation all along has been about Cankles....”

I said something like this a long time in a post.

The Trump-Russia thing will go away only when a democrat-led investigation concludes that there was no collusion, and furthermore an investigation into the Clinton corruption must be eased into. What better way to do that than for the Mueller team to find evidence of that while investigating Trump?

Remember when Comey was fired,,,,with him in LA and timed perfectly for him to watch it in real time on CNN during his lunch break

Meanwhile Trump gets access to the Comey office, files, desk, computer e-mails etc

Now Comey and Mueller were best buddies

So expect Trump to have the goods on them both

and leaverage to direct the Mueller "investigation."

This is the Trump Sting signature

Recall the Mr Miller tapes and the 4 pages of tax docs that turned up in a reporters mail box in NY.

Mueller may have opened the book but will he slam it shut and throw the evidence in the fire?

Yup, it sure is.

Hopefully, the end result is to see the Clintoons in chains.

The more I think about the Grifters the more I think about how many Far Left Liberals we have in this country that love these 2 criminals.

They might just get away with it unfortunately.

Don’t be surprised if Mueller is cleaning up the mess for Obama/Hillary as he was a fed when all this went down.

Mueller could have done this just to buy himself a little bipartisan cover for whatever he has planned for Trump.

Yep—and they are letting it be known about their bogus, cover-up investigation on the Dem side a) so a legitimate special counsel isn’t named for that, and b) to excuse their meddling as they move to destroy any evidence.

From Congressional testimony: The FBI paid Steele for the “dossier” which PREVIOUSLY was used purely as oppo political research on Trump.

That would be Combover.

This cannot be explained as “trying to help Trump see what phony intel is.” It is illegal.
