“Me Too” movement sounds like the perfect name for such a collection of self absorbed idiots.
I agree, but my point still stands. Why does anyone think that every 9 seconds a woman is abused in the US can possibly be true?
Seriously think about that... Every year 3,504,000 women are abused? There are roughly 177,165,387 females in the US - of them, a large contingent are either way to young to consider in this stat, or way too old and/or infirm to consider in this stat if all of the types of abuse claimed are to be considered. Lets assume that 75% of the 177,165,387 falls into the age range where the stat is somehow reasonably applied (it isn’t, but more on that later)...
177,165,387 * 0.75 = 132874040 or 2.63% every year. If the number of women falling in and out of the age range annually is in flux, then it can’t be the same 2.63 % every year. I guess it wouldn’t take long for the entire US population of women to be abused at some point in their life if this is to be believed.
Now onto the stats:
Abuse is when including, but not limited to things such as the following have occurred:
untoward looks, mean words, an accusation is made, etc...
There are some legitimate forms of abuse considered, but there are many things that happen every single day that are far from abuse that are lumped in to inflate the stats.
When we turn definitions on their heads to inflate stats and inflame emotions, all it does is fuel this stupidity. Of course the nags behind vawa brought us this insanity. Yet evern with this, we are talking something like less than 3%! 3 % isn’t good - even for legitimate abuse, it should be 0 on that account, but it never will be.
Regardless, the point is that the stats are intentionally flawed because they are biased toward an end that isn’t reasonable.
