So the answer is that as long as it benefits you, and if conservatives in other states have to pay through the nose for big corporations (who get to retain the state and local tax deduction by the way in the current bill), they you are good with it.

I can't speak for Paul Ryan (nor would I want to), but where the hell are you getting this from? Where did anything I write get you to that extremely defensive conclusion?
My point is that more politics needs to be local politics. You can choke your mayor a hell of a lot easier than you can choke the Speaker of the House. So choke him. Why does the FedGov (and by extension all the rest of the U.S.) need to subsidize your state's and city's terrible tax policies? Hold their feet to the fire!
