LOL, I’ve read the thread, seems no one other than you and I appreciate AG Sessions. I thought he did a great job.

He can so politely tell someone it’s none of your business, I’m not going to tell you, go to hell, etc.

Perhaps many years of association with law enforcement via my husbands and my two sons gives me a different perspective.

I think, reading through part of the transcript, that there is a lot more here than meets the eye. Sessions almost surely cannot trust more than 10% or so of his staff, and one cannot just “turn over” something like the Justice Dept. in less than 3-4 years. That said, it appears to me he is giving a number of people “rope”, in time and opportunity, to either hang themselves or prove worthy.

I also think there may (may!) be multiple political aspects to all this. For one thing, we do NOT want to get into a pattern of systemic reprisals against opposition political figures, dependent on who wins and loses elections, such as in found in much of the world. Just read the Wikipedia articles on Ukraine and then on several of its major politicians (reading all that will take a while!) to get my drift. If Sessions is to go after various corrupt actors from the last several years, he has to make sure he has ironclad cases, with every “i” dotted and every “t” crossed, able to confound the best defense lawyers money can buy.

Further (and admittedly somewhat counter to part of my above argument), to really get into the politics of it, indictments against several major actors might be best timed for, oh, say, 11 months from now, with a string of convictions hoped for 20-24 months after that.

Portions are pretty garbled up:

"THE COURT FOUND OTHERWISE. SENATOR JERKED DEATH DURBAN. DID YOU HAVE ANY --

I still have tears in my eyes from laughing!!
