In a word, no. I think the soldier would be ashamed of his family for allowing his death to be used for political points. I don’t see anything wrong with what POTUS said. The character of the soldier and the character of his parent could be light years apart.
Regarding his name, did the soldier go by La David or just David? Some adult children don’t have the same feelings about names their parents name them.
Uh, based on my experience, anyone else on here “know what you signed up for” back in the day? As I recall, when my dad swore me in, I was basically agreeing to let the govt do just about anything they wanted with me up to and including death. Without any caveats or exception clauses.
