I’ve addressed this so often, I don’t even feel like looking up the links again. I’ve posted them close to half a dozen times already.

No, legally the POTUS cannot order Sessions to do anything. He can ask, as Trump has done numerous times already. If that doesn’t work his only recourse is to fire Sessions.

The problem with that option is, when Trump earlier expressed his displeasure with Sessions, the Uniparty went berserk. They vowed never to confirm a replacement.

If Trump opts to fire Sessions, he has to be willing to endure hysterical chaos for the foreseeable future. Neither the Uniparty nor the MSM will ever stop skrieking about it. Plus. Trump will have no AG. It’s a tough spot to be in; Sessions has a lot to answer for.

What’s the difference? Whether he asks or orders, if he fires him for not doing it?

There’s NO WAY the GOP Senate blocks another nominee. It’s politically suicidal for them.
