Hospital? I cracked a metatarsal, went to the ER, they gave me a boot, told me to keep it iced and elevated.Survived at home alone during the day while hubby worked,had temporary household assistance once a week for vacuuming, et al. Made it up and down stairs(computer and TV are upstairs, bathroom is downstairs). Working within 3-4 weeks (have to stand and hobble short distances). 18 months before I was comfortable walking on rough ground.
Of course, I was only 55, but: hospital?
