As a Trump supporter, I have no problem in banning bump stocks. Why does anyone need to fire that many rounds in such a short period of time? We have two Glock handguns. Anyone who tries to harm my family or me will have to answer to about 30 rounds fired one at a time.

Why you say?

the obvious answer follows:

there are scenarios (situations) when you will not be able to get a clean injuring/deadly shot on an attacker, but armed with a selective fire rifle, you would be able to fire short or long bursts as needed until those you are protecting have found COVER and not concealment.

FYI

The problem is a problem of camels and noses.

“Why does anyone need to fire that many rounds in such a short period of time?”

Why do you need a `high capacity’ magazine?
Why do you need a caliber larger than .22 LR?
Why do you need anything besides a shotgun?
Why do you need a shotgun?

See how this works?

Why is it a problem to you?

Because PEOPLE LIKE YOU want the government to come take arms away from us, and someday, we will need suppressive fire against such jackbooted thugs.

"Why does anyone need to fire that many rounds in such a short period of time?"

Why does anyone need to drive a motor vehicle for nothing more than getting to entertainment? Driving is more dangerous than firearms.

Not long ago, a terrorist in Europe used a vehicle to run over and kill many people at once. Maybe someone here can tell us about that body count.

Maybe you should read the constitution. Does “shall not be infringed” ring a bell? A bump stock is part of “arms” and banning it is clear infringement. That’s the end of the matter constitutionally speaking.

Why do you need to fire 30 rounds in that short of a time? A bump stock simply makes your finger pull the trigger faster, it does nothing illegal or even unConstitutionally illegal either.
