Not necessarily. My uncle had same type of tumors. They did radiation to try to decrease the size. If they had done surgery it often spreads the seed and many more grow faster Uncle lived just a couple of months after his initial diagnosis. First few weeks he was still functioning. Eventually went into coma and died with days. No life support per his wishes.
It’s a horrible way to die.....
