HERE ARE THE OTHER TWO:

2) A drug to prevent Alzheimer’s before it’s even begun

Research has shown that Alzheimer’s starts years before symptoms even begin to show.

Amyloid beta deposits in the brain slowly accumulate and build up into plaques, leading to symptoms.

A study by the University of Antioquia in Colombia are currently testing an amyloid-related drug on 300 members of an extended family who have a rare genetic mutation that causes early-onset Alzheimer’s.

3) A drug to clear out Alzheimer’s-causing plaque build up

Biogen, an American company, is developing a drug that treats the condition by clearing amyloid deposits in the brain out the way.

They are expected to announce results in 2019 or early 2020.

Several other companies are also following what has come to be known as the “amyloid hypothesis”.

I was 36 when my mom died of alzheimers.

Motherless children have a hard time when their mother is gone.

A “cure” for Alzheimer’s would be great for mankind, but bad for any federal budget. Given how common is dementia, the costs to the system (Medicare) would be astronomical.

And, what, another drug available across the planet for AGES...but not FDA ‘approved’ (aka palms greased) to be had on our soil?

a person’s food/beverage choice over years and lifestyle have much to do with not getting alzheimers, dementia and more.

and yes it starts before symptoms because it’s about toxicity and things getting outa balance which obviously starts/happens before symptoms of most illness.

researchers waste so much on research and drug crafting when simple practical things work just as well if not better, but most people just want to take a pill and not responsibility for their health and results of their unhealthy habits.

I thought scientists had solved this problem by something found in jellyfish. I’m so damned tired of that Prevegin commercial I could scream. And I’m surprised it is allowed...it does NOTHING for these poor suffering people. It’s a lie and a hoax.

My uncle is in his mid-90’s and doing fine.

I think it is because his body temperature is lower than normal - his hands feel cold.

One other theory I have is that concentrated learning may be bad for the brain by causing it to lose the ability to form short-term and hence long-term memories.

Just like we could cure cancer, we could cure Alzheimer’s and a dozen other diseases but there’s more money to be made not curing them.

Google Coconut oil and check out some of the findings and first hand accounts on successfully treating dementia with it.

It has other benefits as well.

I thought the plaque was a natural enzyme, the problem is the over production of it.
Does this clear all of it completely? What problems would that cause?

The prospect of having Alzheimers terrifies me. I'm the same age now as my mother was at her onset and that was an eleven-year horror movie before she passed. I worry every time I forget someone's name that I've known for years, even though it usually comes back to me in a few minutes. That seems to be the way this insidious disease works. I pray the cure is not far off.
