Thanks for the info. Yeah, I've been using my own modem for some time, but definitely due for an upgrade on both modem/router. Charter keeps trying to get me back to the TV/internet package($79.99 or something).

I've got a feeling they(others)are going to start to make up for cable cutting by charging up the wazoo for internet.

All of the combining and reassigning of broadcast tv channels that’s been going on is aimed at freeing up space for over the air Wi-Fi. Cable systems will soon find themselves competing with that. So, I suspect any jacking-up of internet prices they do will be short-lived.
