There is a HUGE difference between having the right to OBTAIN housing and having a right to housing. The former prevents the government from stopping you from obtaining a good on your own, the latter enslaves others to provide you that good.

Hey Maxine, talk to the leftist San Francisco city council which seems to kill just about every attempt to build housing in the city.

what exactly is housing?

plenty of people over time lived in portable housing, make-shift housing which was perfectly fine. Many had to walk to water and outhouse. Anything subsidized by govt should not be any where near top of the line because it’s not meant to be permeant help but temporary certain period of time to help people get back on their own feet to being responsible for themselves.

Let Mad Max open up her big manse to a bunch of homeless steeet denizens. And it’s super good too. Because mad max doesn’t live in “her” district, the crime- infested ghetto she has help make that way “representing” it. Her new house guests will find themselves in a nice neighborhood

I want a beach house on Cape Cod. It is my right. The government must give it to me now.

I believe that it is a HUGE win that Maxine is in front of the cameras every day spouting her ongoing nonsense.

It plays fine for her parasite constituency and the black pajama-wearing antifas but now even the political sleepers of the "middle" are "woke" (as they say...) and are fired up by this ongoing assault.

More winning!

Maxine, has someone bring the Constitution up in a browser, Select Ctrl F, type Necessary in the search box and tell me where you find it.

If housing is a right then the government should not tax it. Funny how the dems love to tax our so-called rights - food, wayer, medicine, shelter, education, weapons for defence, etc...

There is a very useful tool in logic and philosophy called reductio ad absurdum ( “reduction to absurdity” ) which basically takes an argument and extends its assumptions to its limits. If health and now housing is a right then where do these ‘rights’ end? The right to food is the next obvious one and beyond that, what?

Note that these are very VERY different ‘rights’ than our Founders envisioned and articulated in the Declaration and Constitution. The Founder’s concept of rights were not granted by government but were inherit to being a citizen. Their articulation of these rights was for the purpose of forbidding the GOVERNMENT from infringing or denying them.

Bernie, Maxine, Hillary (etc.) have their definition of ‘rights’ as obligations of government to provide and guarantee. Something totally different and, in my opinion antithetical to what we see in the wishes of the Founders.

Note that the phrase is “pursuit of happiness” NOT “guarantee of happiness”!

California secession is looking better every day. Mad Maxine would be in another country. And since that country will have open borders, the US can ship all its non-working citizens there to get their human right housing.

It’s very clear that under DemocRATS, the HUD Sec. handed out wads of cash to Black ‘Leaders’ in Big City Urban areas. When HUD Sec. Bed Carson does NOT hand out wads of cash, Black ‘Leaders’ have a cow!

'Housing Is a Necessary Human Right'

And that's why England had poorhouses, we used to have mental hospitals and we still have jails.

You don't work, you don't eat.
