The 9:59 p.m. PDT time was derived from a Mandalay Bay report manually created after the fact without the benefit of information we now have. We are now confident that the time stated in this report is not accurate. We know that shots were being fired at the festival lot at the same time as, or within 40 seconds after, the time Jesus Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio. Metro officers were together with armed Mandalay Bay security officers in the building when Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio. These Metro officers and armed Mandalay Bay security officers immediately responded to the 32nd floor. We will continue to work with law enforcement as we have from the first moments of this tragedy as they work toward developing an accurate timeline."
The statement comes as attorneys say they're talking with victims about possible lawsuits against the hotel company and other parties they say may be responsible. At least one victim has already filed a lawsuit in state court in Nevada seeking to freeze the assets of the shooter, Stephen Paddock, and preserve them for the benefit of the victims and their families.

This smells like an insurance liability issue.
For the hotel, if all of the relatives of the deceased, and the wounded...sued them, then you could be talking about a billion easily at risk.
There are several problems here. It would appear that the cops aren’t doing much of a four-star investigation. There’s no notes or anything by the shooter. This Campos guy having this one single wound from 200-odd shots fired down the hallway? The fact that the picture taken by the cops of the dead shooter...about an hour after they’d secured the room...showed the guy already in rigor mortis (it typically takes two to six hours)....the story has problems.
How does the pic show rigor mortis?
This was an atrocity, not a tragedy.
>> the story has problems.
Indeed.
I hope our patience isn’t mistaken for indifference.
I don't think I've ever seen a story with more changes and retractions than this one.
I would like to know that also, and I’m not questioning him - I just want to know how. What I find really odd are the shell casings laying ON TOP of the pool of blood. Makes no sense to me.
So, tell us how long it takes blood to ‘start’ to coagulate? Some of his cranial mass was soaked into the carpet, the rest was just as bright red as fresh blood. The only blood that showed coagulation was around his mouth.
I have cut myself enough times to have a very good idea of how long it takes and it is not an hour. So, tell us how you came up with the timeline to determine the picture was taken hour after he offed himself.
As for your first observation, yes, the hotel does have a very keen interest for the upcoming litigations to make absolutely sure any determined timeline is as accurate as possible.
As for the police and Sheriff, it is obvious from the expressions on the face of the Sheriff, before, during and after the news conferences, that he is not in agreement with what he is reading and that someone else is putting those words on what he is reading on. All the while, the FBI AiC is standing over his shoulder.
“after he offed himself.”
How do you KNOW that he offed HIMSELF?
How do you know he didn’t?
When people make statements to infer facts other than what is known at the time, it is hyperbole or just simple opinion. What we know as facts at the time from those who first entered in the room, other than offing himself, show us any facts as we know them at the time that counter that.
Just like all the people who were perfectly willing to show their gullible nature of the fake CNN report yesterday breaking the news that Campos was arrested as an accomplice, only cloud what we can find out what is really going on. I SUSPECT the Paul Harvey moment will be far more insidious that most can even think of right now, but those are just my suspicions. As facts as we know them are presented, that also goes into my suspicions to be modified or solidified but still not the Paul Harvey followup.
In the picture provided showing one door laying on the ground horizontally,
I only counted 12 bullet holes? Now granted you cannot see the entire door, but it appears from that pic that there were a lot less than 200 holes in the door. The 200 shots down the hall has bothered me about this story.
How much you wanna bet that 200 was the estimated report from the unarmed guys being shot at? They also could be counting the skid marks on the walls, from the bullets and the guys, just kidding.
200 rounds from that weapon on the floor behind the doors would have been just over 3 of those mags we saw stacked on the floor. Some of the recordings by folks on the ground indicate that rounds were being fired into the building because of the dramatic tone change without echos from the outside.
I’ll keep my suspicions and wait until some real forensics is submitted to scour to formulate any additional questions.
Changes that don’t really seem to change anything that much. That’s the weird part.
This isn’t really rocket science.
There are plenty of videos out there of this - several of which show exactly the point when the first five or six single shots are heard, followed several seconds later by the first volley of full auto fire.
Some of these videos probably have an exact timestamp from the phone in the metadata. You’d probably need the original video - but it’s there.
Do some math and *bingo* you have the exact time the shooting started.
But you may never know the exact timestamps on any of the hotel audio/video...
Which direction do the holes in the door seem to be to you?
When were the windows breached?
