McCain would be an interesting test case of whether a State Recall election can be used for a person elected to a federal office. Forget about the brain cancer, he’s serving himself; not the people of Arizona who put him in office.

A federal legislator has never been recalled in America’s history. Individual states never had the original sovereign authority to unilaterally change the terms and conditions of the service of federal officials agreed to in the Constitution.
Recall was considered and rejected when the Constitution was written.
