I live in Indian Springs.
My house was here during the French & Indian wars.
Whomever lived here at that time did not make to the frontier fort, , 2 miles away, that served as a refuge against the numerous Indian massacres, along with 93 others during a particularly vicious slaughter.
Digging post holes one day, we found part of log structure that had been burned, about 15 feet from my house.

While repairing one of the window frames, back in 1990, we discovered there was a “false wall” on the west side, with a large space between the actual structural logs and the hair & mud wall inside, where presumably one could try to hide.

Sometimes, all of that really creeps me out.
