That is a terrific series.

The Indians were unbelievably cruel and brutal to their enemies. They were not the "noble savages", as they are so often portrayed. They were heathen, cruel peoples.

After reading Eckert’s The Frontiersmen I realized that no one had cornered the market on barbarity back then. All sides committed unspeakable acts.

Allen Eckert is one of my favorite authors.
He is unabashedly politically incorrect with his portrayal of life (and death) in the era.
The realization that the Europeans triumphed makes one consider the savagery that we, as their progeny, are capable of. Those who hope for CWII need to study history to curb their enthusiasm.
