Harvey Weinstein’s former company was alerted back in 2015 to cash settlements he had made in connection with sexual-harassment allegations, according to a report.
Lawyer David Boies, who represented Weinstein in 2015 when his contract was up for renewal, told The New York Times that the company’s board was informed of three or four settlements.
The Weinstein Company, which has fired the disgraced movie mogul, said this week that it had not been aware of any payouts to women who accused him of unwanted touching and sexual harassment.
On Tuesday, Weinstein’s brother and company co-founder, Bob Weinstein, and TWC chief David Glasser told employees that they were shocked by the allegations and unaware of payments, The Times reported, citing employees who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Board member Lance Maerov, who handled the contract talks, acknowledged in an interview that he had been informed of settlements, but said that he had assumed they were used to cover up consensual affairs, the paper reported.
The contract was up for renewal just as Italian actress Ambra Battilana Gutierrez, 22, reported to police that Weinstein had groped her at his Manhattan office.

The company may be liable if it knew and re negotiated Harvey’s new contract.
They didn’t view it as mis-conduct.

I was puzzled by the predominant number of seemingly low or non talent actressess working and having leads in Miramax films - girls like Scarlett Johansson, Rachel McAdams, Amy Adams and others. I mean low talent compared to classic stars like Barbara Stanwyck, Mo O’Hara, Bette Davis and others from and era where women didn’t put up crap and piss and moan like these snowflakes do now.

Of course they knew. All of Hollyrat knew. They even did TV “haha” skits on it. Yet they lecture the rest of the country of their ideas and agendas of ‘morality’...yet hiding and condoning their own perversions.

I don’t think even Trump realized the lengths to which the swamp would be drained. He only thought DC, perhaps a side benefit brewing???

It’s amazing that people, even close friends, are unable to sway powerful people to stop destroying themselves. From Clinton to Weinstein and yes, and even our man Trump at times, are unwilling or unable to take advice.
