A couple of hours ago I watched a true crime show,on ID, about the murder,in MA, of Robin Benedict... There was some dramatization and her father was played by a black actor-——the father was NOT black.
I was stunned.
Fiction is one thing but this man WAS NOT BLACK. Can you imagine the uproar if a white actor played MLK? :-)

Many years ago I heard a caller to a radio program complain that his son’s schoolbook depicted the Earl of Sandwich (the alleged inventor of the sandwich, in England I believe) as a black man; just goofy feel-good nonsense for a minority of students. There are some concrete achievements/contributions by real blacks; no need to cheapen them with outright lies and myths.
