RE: How about the poor Clovis people? Did the AmerInds take America away from them?

Can you elaborate for us? Who are the Clovis People and what happened?

The term “Clovis people” comes from a set of spear (flint) points that were found originally in Clovis, New Mexico. (If I remember this right!) These points have been found elsewhere in North America, what makes them very interesting is they are very very similar to points found at early man sites (I think Cromagnon & not Neanderthal, but I may be wrong!) in Europe. Normally in archeology how you track the geographic spread of a culture is look for what they leave behind - cultural artifacts. In this case similar spear points, if you think about flint snapping, the skill necessary to learn it, not an unreasonable approach. I think the European culture was called Soultrean, so if real then Europeans got her first from the west, not Asian tribes from the east and it occurred much much earlier then is commonly accepted. Unfortunately no human remains have been found associated with these sites that I know of.
