ARLINGTON Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said any players in his organization who disrespect the flag during the national anthem will not play in games.

Jones is the first owner in the NFL to go on record about disciplining players who disrespect the flag during the national anthem. He didn’t specify kneeling or raising fists in the arm or other gestures made by players around the league.

Jones made his strongest statements regarding the national anthem protests throughout the NFL after Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

“If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period,” Jones said. “We’re going to respect the flag and I’m going to create the perception of it.”

That makes NO difference, he was kneeling in support of the anti-Trump cop killers!

And again so what!

He was kneeling in support of the NFL against Trump and for the cop killers.

This has to do with more then just the Anthem!

I have a football signed by Roger Staubach, Randy White, Bill Bates and Troy Aikman. Like you said great memories! I'll keep the football and will return IF sanity comes back to the NFL. Not sure that's going to happen.

Also, they all stood with the arms linked to show their unity in rejecting Trump!

Which is not how you are to respect the Anthem!

The NFL will never return from it’s PC mode.

“Not sure that’s going to happen. “

And we all know why.

That’s outstanding. Those greats were why we watched.

I’ll be damned if they would take a knee for anything except a time-out.

And once again, you ignore the fact that he joined with the entire NFL to kneel against Trump and what he said about respecting the Anthem.

OMG, he's been a supporter of President Trump. He probably felt the President's words were a little too harsh. People can agree with respecting the anthem, and still think that the President was harsh.

Trying to equate what other team owners and players have done with what Jerry Jones did—which was respect the anthem, along with all his players—is just ridiculous.

I feel sorry for anyone who can't see the distinction here.

Why be guilty of the same thing that the other side often does—conflating two different situations which aren't the same thing at all?

Never mind. Just indulge blind hate, with no nuance or discernment—sound familiar?

Jeez.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said that any Cowboys player who disrespects the flag will be benched. And, thus far, not a single Cowboys player has disrespected the flag—not in the 2 years since this fiasco started. Those are the facts, so lumping the Cowboys' behavior in with the behavior of other owners and players of the NFL is patently absurd.

Let the pussy-hats fund them.

Actually, it does. The one poster had said Jones was photographed kneeling during the National Anthem.

That is incorrect, and that alone was what I was speaking towards.

If you believe that, then your beef is with Jones. Take it up with him.

He was on national TV arms in hand kneeling. Doesn’t matter if the anthem was playing or not. He was lockstep with BLM.

Get over it.

Doing their imitation of the Cowboys' defense on Green Bay's last TD drive.

BLM came to my city and just created mayhem. (Charlotte)

No real reason. Just united up with their Obamaphone and started smashing windows.

Well, if the NFL doesn’t think I’m smart enough to figure out who will be evil then maybe the NFL isn’t smart enough for me to support them.

They crossed a line that will never be atoned. I hope is goes to 50%.

“And, thus far, not a single Cowboys player has disrespected the flag—”

It’s been reported two players gave the black power salute during the anthem today... is that disrespecting the flag?

This is a sad time in NFL lore but they are just gonna lose.

The NFL chose to defeat law and order. I don’t care if your black or white. Threaten a cop and you might die.

Understand this for what it is. It is an extension of all the crap last year. In the cities where a white cop shot a black man, you had anarchy.

Well, this is what Colin was protesting, because apparently in black culture, crime is OK unless your family steps in.

If whitey comes in we have a problem.
