I don’t see why he would go in the first place.
Pence has gone to a lot of Colts games as an Indiana congressman and Gov. Pence knew they 49ers would likely do this and his leaving is a powerful statement.
Nice going Pence! Winning...
If i had the means and the opportunity to buy tickets and go to the game, I would do it, just to walk out when the players and their approving audience disrespected the flag.
Just to fight back.
Humiliate some deserving flag-trashing-weenie
Asking that same question.
Making a point? A very sharp slap in the face to nfl
Holding season tickets for years and not wanting to waste a dime? So unlikely to happen in the dc world, knowing how that town loves to waste opm
Whatever his reasons might be - he certainly did the right thing by leaving.
By the way - this is parallel to the funeral VP Chaney attended for the congressman who died in the plane crash (name unremembered) Surrounded by adveseries, he put on his trench coat, offered condolences and removed himself from the service.
His state & Peyton Manning. Guess the VP was going to give them a chance...
I dont see why he would go in the first place.
He went to honor Manning - Manning is big deal in Indiana.
To make the point of leaving.
Just a bit of loyalty. He’s the former governor of Indiana. I guess he assumed everyone would behave like loyal, patriotic Americans. But a few took the spotlight and showed they are mere narcissistic, disloyal prima donas. So he showed his disgust by leaving. I’d wager he’s cured, and won’t waste his time on the NFL again any time soon.
