The big question is why is this coming out now? And from the NYT of all places? What is their reason for this? Just seems odd....
Yeah, there must be some fascinating machinations behind the scenes..... some huge lib(s) decided Harvey had to be taken down now, before..... what? Before something bigger came out? To deflate the story before it got even bigger? To lessen the blows against the Democrat/Hollyweird prima donnas?? There must be some powerful reason(s) that the NY Times preferred this route to continuing the silent waiting game.
I think Ashley Judd may well have launched it behind the scenes. She was so enraged at the Women’s March and she had to think about the hypocrisy of attacking Donald Trump while letting Harvey Weinstein continue to slide. I don’t know if she has much influence by herself, but she might have talked with Gloria Steinem and other feminists, and said “it’s time we deal with this.”
Team Clinton has become a liability to the emerging Democratic Party leadership, and they would like her to sit down and shut up.
Also, the involvement of the NYT (amazing, huh?) indicates that members of Team Weinstein realize he is unsalvageable and want to retain their own power more than the want to save him.
I recall about 2 years ago he announced that he was going to do some huge pro-Hillary movie, due to be released in October 2016. Seems for whatever reason that didn't happen (or if it did I missed any news of it).
Maybe she's mad that he didn't help her win.
