"Were wealthy people," Eric Paddock said. "$100,000 isnt that much money.... He gambled that much through a machine in hours.... Hes got the highest level of membership card at a lot of these [casino] hotels. If a lot of these hotels say they dont know Steve, theyre lying."
(snip)
Paddock remembered his brother as a man who used his money to take care of his family financially. "He helped make me and my family wealthy. I mean, hes the reason I was able to retire three years ago when I got really burned out doing the job I did," Eric Paddock said.
(snip)
"He didnt have a lot of friends," Paddock continued. "He was a private person. Theres a story about that hes, ohhhh, he kept his shades closed, and he didnt talk to me for the first three times he saw me walking in the neighborhood. Wow. That makes him really weird, doesnt it? He was a private guy. Thats why you cant find out anything about him, thats why theres no pictures. Is he such a weirdo because he didnt have a Facebook page and posted 50,000 damn pictures of himself every day? Whos weird?"
(snip)
But, of his brother's attack, Paddock said: "This is 100% Steve, did this by himself. People cant seem to cope with that either. But Steve is a was a highly intelligent, highly successful person. He could have done anything he wanted to do. And he did. He made himself wealthy. He made us wealthy. He was a very successful person. He gambled for 20-plus years, successfully. Its like a job to him. He did it mathematically."

I know I often get a $3.5 million dollar check in the mail from my sibling. (number picked at random)
Well, not yet, but any day now!!! lol
I wish this guy had just a smattering of the honor that the Unibomber’s brother had.
.
I thought his brother didn’t know much at all about his brothers interests?
Right?
Because ... Money! And he did this all by himself!
Holy moly - quite the family huh?
Professional money launderer that used casinos to buy chips with illicit cash. Gambled a bit with the chips, then cashed them in for clean cash classified as “winnings”.
Exactly..video poker pays out an average of 99.17% or better making a great game to launder money with
Different brother? There are four kids in the family.
Not true. I would say just about nobody wins on the state lotteries. But casinos have a slightly better chance than 50-50 of winning. That slight 1 or 2 percent chance gives them their wealth.
My wife and I gamble for fun, doing it at least several times a year. For the last 8 years or so, we've come out ahead nearly 90 percent of the time, beating the 50-50 odds. That's paid for our meals, trip expenses and other items. We don't gamble high stakes. I cringe when people are sitting next to me betting $500 bets per hand. We're not out to make money, as we're doing just fine. But we're not about to throw money away either in case our luck goes sour when gambling. Gambling in a casino is way better than throwing away money at lotto tickets - a sure losing bet.
New thought — a mob hit man would make plenty of money? Just an idea
The long-term odds are what they are. But the long term is merely theoretical. In real life, there are long streaks one way or the other.
This guy has an odd way of defending his dead psychopathic brother. If my brother did such a thing, I’d be completely mortified and begging for forgiveness from the bereaved for not identifying his pathology beforehand every time I could get in front of a camera.
I don't have the answer and this is why I believe he is merely an AGENT for the Deep State in order to advance growth of the federal police state and civilian gun bans.
He was banned from the Las Vegas casinos for winning more than their limit standards.
The other brother said he had not talked to or seen him in twenty years and did not immediately recognize him when he saw his picture on TV.
I used to work a few years ago with a smart guy, a statistician. He used to visit Las Vegas & Atlantic City casinos frequently, and he was a card counter. He made some money but not enough to quit his day job by any means. It got harder and harder for him because the casinos captured his face through facial recognition software and he was banned in many of casinos. I don’t think anyone could become a millionaire through card counting in this electronic surveillance age.
Never underestimate an accountant. Bwlawaaeewshheahah.
Am I the only one that suspects human trafficking /sex trade?
This Eric guy is an odd duck. Something not quite right about him.
