That security guard rushing up to that room probably saved peoples lives, switched the assholes attention from the window

No doubt, the unarmed security monitor actually turned the tide on the attack.

Escape plan didn’t work - diversion didn’t work - airport fuel tanks didn’t go up.

Police arrived in 12 minutes after the first call. The shooting had stopped by then. It was only when they found the wounded hotel security officer on the 32nd floor that they got the exact room number (from him).
The shooting lasted 10 minutes, 10:05-10:15 PM. Police arrived at 10:17 PM according tot he LV Police Chief.

Clear the floor of other people in rooms in case of booby traps, blow the building or him coming out shooting, sheetrock walls

By the way, how did that security guard get wounded? I didn’t seem to hear that story.

the delay was because he had stopped shooting and they wanted to get a swat team up there to blow the door. He had unloaded over 200 rounds at the unarmed security guard, so they weren’t going to send one guy through the door with a revolver. If he had started shooting again before swat got there, something different might have happened.

Vegas Shooter's Brother Speaks - Weird Interview (Video)"
Notice that earlier in the video, Stephen's brother issued a strange but interesting warning (17:38).
https://youtu.be/SPZFN6VFFow?t=17m38s
I transcribed a short statement from another part of the video that would be interesting to some of us. Here's a YouTube link that starts at 20:12.
https://youtu.be/SPZFN6VFFow?t=20m12s
"I had a tough time. I did dumb stuff, when I was a teenager. Okay. I didn't...I have no criminal record or any of that stuff, because I'm smarter than the average bear. And I knew to hang out with people who were dumber than I was and who would get caught faster. Okay. Bottom line. That's how it works."
Considering that statement, a label immediately comes to mind for some of us. For others, not. The same kind of thinking was also revealed at other times during the interview.
I'm interested to know if more people in some parts of our country see normalcy in that statement than people in other parts our country, for example, a possible difference between a liberal majority city and a rural area in the southern half of the Midwest.

While its a possibility, youd think if she were there to warn people she would have told it to the security people who dragged her off. Any evidence she didn't say something to them and get ignored? Lots of twists and turns going on in this case - here's hoping we get all the real truth somewhere down the road.

Yup. I’m not making any conclusions just yet. There are a lot of questions that need to be addressed and answered. This particular question could be answered easily enough, since at least the people that hauled her off also had contact with her.

nvestigators are trying to identify a mystery woman seen with Stephen Paddock in the days before the Las Vegas massacre,
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas........
To: Aliska
the witness sounded sincere and wasn't present when the shooting started.
Security had already removed her.......Likely just a nut job because if she had prior knowledge she would have gone to the police
To: LouieFisk
She probably did and wasnt taken seriously. Likely told to leave and threatened with arrest for attempting to insight panic

Im guessing she was a lady-of-the-evening. He probably wanted one last romp.I doubt it. Too much of a risk that she might see something suspicious in his room and report it to hotel security or LEO.

Without any context, that would probably be my reaction - just a crazy drunk. Could still be since it’s common to have some drunk/crazy persons in a huge crowd, but it deserves a good checking out in light of what happened. Easy enough to run down.

Good point. I guess if that’ sex was what he wanted, he could have rented another room just for that.
