The Las Vegas gunmans exact location took police 72 minutes to reach after the first 911 call.
Police received the first 911 call regarding Sundays shooting at the country music concert at 10:08 p.m. local time, NBC News reported. By the time, Stephen Paddock was done shooting, at least 59 people were dead and 515 injured.
Officers began their search for the gunman following the call and responders discovered the gunfire was coming from a window of the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino after seeing muzzle flashes, dispatch tape showed, The Mercury News reported.
Police began searching the hotels 29th floor before determining the gunman was on the 32nd floor, NBC News reported.
Authorities, however, eventually located the shooter due to the large amount of smoke from the gunfire, The Washington Post reported.

Security Officer implies he was probably armed. (Security guards generally are not.)
He was brave. If he hadn’t interrupted Paddock so quickly the death toll could have been far higher.
The photos show a dozen or more bullets were fired through the door.
Brave? Approaching a room where auto fire is shaking pictures off the walls 3 doors down with no backup? No body armor? No strategy? He paid a big price.

In the one picture it definitely looks like a 13 on his neck but I’ve seen it in no others. Gamblers are funny people. Interesting story why gamblers mark themselves with the number 13. When bad luck see’s the number it keeps going since that person has already been marked with bad luck.

I don’t disbelieve he shot the security guard, but where’s the proof he shot himself right away?
He shot through his hotel door which injured the guard. Then when they entered the room he was dead. At least that was what was reported.
Exactly, so when did he shoot himself. And in that ONE HOUR between the guard being shot and the body being discovered, why couldn’t not someone have killed him and walked away?
Do we know it was an hour between the time when he shot the security guard and the time they entered his room? A lot of that hour was trying to identify which room he was in.
And we’ll never know. But I can assure you, he wasn’t going to that room to be a hero or as a sacrifice to save others.
And my point here was why would a hotel security person even approach that area of the hotel, knowing the cops would be crawling all over it within a very short time.
In fact, these people, security guards/officers, are trained and are supposed to understand they’re not cops and to leave the dangerous stuff for the cops.
So there ya go.
I hope he survived so he can tell us.
From what I understand, he’s dead.
“Why did Paddock break two windows on separate sides of the suite?”
To get a full view of the entire target area since the hotel is at an angle. Duh.
“If he was the only shooter one window would be enough. Authorities said several weapons were fired. Why did he switch weapons?”
Because he knew that a barrel firing as many rounds as he was going to gets red hot and fails. He knew that firearms fail for many reasons. He knew he would need more than one. Duh.
Conspiracy theorists are usually the least intelligent and least educated among Internet users.
It certainly does not take a senior investigator to figure out by looking a the windows/building construction in question, that the suspect wanted 2 different angles/directions to shoot from.
“To get a full view of the entire target area since the hotel is at an angle. Duh.”

Hey detective, what did you learn from that 100% fake news piece?
Back to detective school for you, detective!
Fake news. My bad.
Sorry.
Attended a couple of “active shooter” seminars. In all these situations (gunman shooting people, hostage taking/killing, etc...) they say that from the time the LEs get the call to the time the LE types get on the scene and are ready to answer the question “What the F*CK is going on?” is 45 minutes. at the earliest. Then these LE teams decide what course of action must be taken and by whom, etc... 72 minutes seems about right.
