There’s nothing to have stopped this psycho from getting a tractor trailer up to full speed down the Vegas Strip and plowing through a fence into the crowd at the concert. He probably would have killed and injured even more. Add some explosives the mix and even far worse. Gun control is not the solution. There can be no successful outlawing of evil in THIS world.
There have been efforts made to reduce pedestrian vehicle accidents in Vegas. I vaguely even recall someone deliberately driving on the sidewalk (not the drunk hostess).
There are skywalk bridges to cross intersections. Been over a decade since I was there, can’t recall if there are barriers on the sidewalks on the Strip.
