the real clue at this point is the timeline, together with the statement of ammo left over in the room. Why would a mass murderer throw ~ 500-600 rounds down range in ~20 minutes, then “commit suicide” with ammo left over and the SWAT team still 40-50 minutes from breaching your door?
The suicide would make some sense if shooter fired everything but the last round, using that one through he skull to check out with.
Also, why were 2 windows of the room shot out? not like shooter is markedly improving the field of view for shots at the massive target zone from 30 stories up?
I agree it is highly credible, or even likely, that there was more than one immediately involved at the sniper nest, and this POS (with massive gambling debt?) was indeed the dead body misdirection waste left behind.
At least another person ducked out of the sniper position in the confusion generated. There certainly was time and confusion in which to do this after making 20 minutes of mayhem and SWAT still somewhere suiting up and practicing “hut-huts”.
Reference end of “ConAir” or “Ocean’s Eleven” for the Hotel exit confusion scenario, both Vegas based. Or maybe another shooter or handler just went back to their room, conveniently located right down the hall, after Vince Fostering the identified shooter. Not hard for this person to play the post-event terrified tourist role, after thoroughly washing the gunpowder residue off their body.
