Critics are right about school choice skimming the cream off the top, but they are very wrong about the mechanism. They skim the cream by not having to deal with parents (and their kids) who are indifferent or worse about their kids education.
The ability to tell disruptive bullies they are not welcome is also a big help.
>>parents (and their kids) who are indifferent or worse about their kids education.
The social engineers administrating and “teaching” in public schools really don’t want parents who are active in the educational process.
“Parents don’t care” — That’s just an excuse for the failure of the edumacators.
And, yep - we who are NOT indifferent will put OUR tax dollars to use beyond their purview.
There are a couple of charter schools in Colorado Springs that got funded by a state level program after the local rainbow “progressive”-infested school board refused to sign off on them.
I hear good things from the parents and teachers involved.
Giving the NEA a cashectomy would facilitate that trend.

Yes. It certainly is.
How ironic that bullies who call themselves “teachers” and “directors” and “administrators” - will receive the due process they refuse to give the students they have the privilege, through delegated PARENTAL authority, to teach.
