No way you could get off 400 rounds otherwise. Your finger would be ready to fall off halfway through that.
There are at least three competing brands of bump fire stock.
Here is a random video of one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uo4kFzECXGs
There is no doubt from the audio alone automatic weapons were used...
were they built fully auto or converted semi I don’t know.
However, I highly doubt this guy legally owned any automatic weapons.
He was either supplied with them by a hostile/3rd party actor, bought
by the assailant on the black market, or converted by the assailant from semi to full autos...
Time will tell, but if I had to put money on it, I would put better than even odds it was the first one.
Oh, 400 rounds in rapid succession is not a lot. I was discussing this with one of my sons recently. With his Ruger 10/22 he can fire 25 round magazine in 15-25 seconds, swap out and resume in seconds. That’s 50-plus per minute. Ten minus equals 500. Granted larger caliber will be more taxing but bigger hands make up for that challenge.
Admit it. You've never shot an AR-15, have you? Never done a mag dump with one?
You clearly don't know what you're talking about.
I heard the video.
It sounded familiar. Years ago, I had a Chinese SKS that was my “farm gun”. One day, my father asked when it became full automatic.
The sear was worn down, and one trigger pull would start it firing and not stop. Wasn’t a high rate a fire, but it sounded very similar.
volume of fire suggests the murderer used more than one weapon. Otherwise heat induced cycling problems would have occurred. If not using full-auto, volume of fire also suggests use of a “bump-fire” adapter. A little practice someone can near-on simulate automatic rate of fire with a bump-fire. B-F’s may be hard to find but last time I checked they’re legal. Also easier than “easy” to fit to at least the AR-AK family of weapons.
“No way you could get off 400 rounds otherwise.”
Not counting but estimating about 50 rounds in 12 seconds.
