Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:
(snip)
Judge Janine: Ok, why is he not being charged with a crime?
Chaffetz: I can tell you that while I was in Congress and the Chairman of the Oversight Committee, I did go over and visit with Attorney General Sessions and it was one of the most frustrating discussions I had because whether it was the IRS, Fast and Furious, the email scandal that we went through, I did not see the Attorney General willing to just let Lady Justice administer justice and then follow through. I understood maybe the last six months of the Obama Administration
Judge Janine: Wait a minute I dont have that much time. You spoke with Sessions on IRS, Fast and Furious. Did he give you a reason? Did he say he was presenting anything to a grand jury? Yes or no?
Chaffetz: No, he basically let me know he wasnt going to pursue anything on the major cases.
Judge Janine: So IRS, on the major cases? Are we talking about Hillary Clinton, because I havent even gotten to her yet.
Chaffetz: Yes, the email scandal of Hillary Clinton. We had Bryan Pagliano. I issued a subpoena for him to appear before the Committee and he said No. He didnt even show up. We issued another subpoena. The US Marshals served it. And you know in my world, if youre in court, I guarantee you that a subpoena is not an optional activity. We wanted the Attorney General to prosecute him and he said No.

Trump said he wouldn’t proscute Hillary. The Democrats returned the favor by hating Trump every single day since the election. He may have to prosecute Hillary and others just to protect himself.
What he had then can’t be faked.
Doesn’t appear he has it now though, that’s for sure.
I am a little suspicious of him. At the inauguration he grabbed Hillary’s hand to shake like his life depended on it.
Maybe it did.
All of our suspicions about Sessions have been confirmed.
I waited seven months before I criticized him and still I got angry replies
telling me “he needs more time to build his cases ... you don’t know what he’s doing behind the scenes.”
Now we know, he’s just another obstructionist Swamp Rat.
Sessions needs to be fired, along with Mueller - dereliction of duty, prosecutorial negligence, prosecutorial misconduct, failure to enforce the law, ect., ect.
Thank you! I'm glad to see someone around here still has a grip on reality.
I hope you are right about sessions because my immediate response to sessions when he came out in support of trump was to like him.
Just shows how good his possing was or something about public perception ...
Nonsense. Trump’s authority over the DOJ is plenary. He can fire Sess at any time he chooses, he can direct Sess to conduct any investigation at any time on any subject that he chooses. He can even walk into DOJ HQ and direct investigations on any subject at any time that he chooses without firing Sess.
Period.
I’m trying to have patience with Sessions but if this is true, he needs to be replaced ASAP.

This was about 20 years ago. He was all man and then some.
I am not happy with this, if accurate. Why should serious crimes from people in the previous administration be ignored and swept under the rug, if there is sufficient evidence to convict?
Especially Benghazi.
Also not happy about 0bama’s fraudulent identity being glossed over.
Not happy with this at all.
Criminal acts are criminal acts.

Sounds like President Trump realized Sessions was a mistake and wanted to replace him but McConnell and the republican senator swamp came to the defense of the DC swamp.
We the People, need to continue to put pressure on bringing the swamp to justice. As long as we do that, the dam will break at some point and may justice be done.
I think the Alinsky narrative with BLM and the NFL and how President Trump blew it up, and now we have all this patriotic backlash, just may be the beginning of the end of the swamp. I hope and pray so.

Adding - tooling around, I find the reactions to this to be very, very negative towards Trump.
And I think this is inevitable, it is going to rub off on Trump and not help his support at all.
The opposing analysis considers prosecution. This would provide a LOT of ammunition for the left, especially since they control the MSM. Does anyone want to see 24/7 screaming headlines about political persecution/prisoners? You think the cry of nazi is loud right now? No - so why give them that hammer?

I think that nails it. It’s the entire reason he was willing to let Hillary slide after the election - he didn’t want the next four years to focus on putting the Witch in jail instead of making America great again. Now? Who knows. He did sound angry a couple of months ago when he complained that Sessions wasn’t doing squat against Hillary.
I guess I would say it isn’t just his word, look at Sessions actions (or lack thereof). That is what I’m going on.
I get that. Still, her crimes are legion. And "fast and furious" and the IRS have nothing to do with the election. Nor did Lynch, Comey, Rice or Power lose an election.
If you recall early on I said you could have Billary in jail, of the Trump agenda. Not both.
Trump has so far gotten every part of his agenda THAT HE HAS CONTROL OVER enacted.
Someone has dirt on Sessions.
I do remember that. But I don’t see why it must be that way.
To have what in essence is almost a mission statement, that no previous crimes will be investigated, sticks in a lot of craws, and leaves a bitter taste of serious injustice. Rule of man, not rule of law; too big to prosecute, etc.
