The Masters in Library Science degree is a racket. Any reasonably intelligent person who loves knowledge can be a good librarian.
Well after reviewing about 200 applications over the past few years, I know what people who major in history, English,
sociology, women studies do-they get a Master’s degree in library science and try to find work as a librarian.
Some months ago, a small town in Maine (on the water) needed a librarian-part time 20 hours a week. They had 50 applications from around the country.
