Lynchings?
her comment got me to researching. Under the definition of lynching being extrajudicial hanging or death by mob, attended by more than 3 people, in the present day, lynching seems to be more of a black crime than a white crime:

A five-year study published in 2015 by the Equal Justice Initiative found that nearly 3,959 black men, women, and children were lynched in the twelve Southern states between 1877 and 1950. Litwack writes that between 1882 and 1968, at least 4,742 African Americans were murdered that way.”

And then I read this, at the same article, and if it’s correct, it seems lynching charges have become a black problem in that, in the years between 1998-2003, more lynching charges were levied against blacks and black juveniles - in one state - than the entire post-Civil War tally against whites. It’s so bad, the SC legislature changed ‘lynching’ to a more politically correct ‘mob violence’ and it makes one wonder, if SC is this bad, what about other states?:

In the prior 5 years, 4,000 adults had been charged, 136 had been convicted.
