They didn’t kneel during the anthem or the display of the flag. They stood for that. The knelt together PRIOR to the display of the flag and the playing of the anthem.
To their credit, they are trying to please the morons minority types and their sympathizers who play for them and the fans that are outraged that they’d take their public money for stadiums and then turn around and disrespect the flag that represents them.
I give the Cowboys a pass. They are trying to think their way out of this.
Not questioning ... but want a pointer to send on to others.
Where did you see that MNF did not maintain the minimum?
Well said.
Inside information from a MSFT employee with direct knowledge of the situation.
Okay. My bad for believing a post on Facebook...LOL.
In my opinion, he still should not be there.
Well, they've certainly set a low bar.
How about a public statement by management and the team captains that players are free to protest as they (players) see fit, just as long as it is not while at work at the Stadium.
Gotta keep thugs like Zeke happy.
This is about more than just the anthem. There have been a fan revolt that has been brewing for years, the anthem is just the last straw.
I think Trump could defuse this from his end, by tweeting something like “As far as I’m concerned, if the owners don’t mind, players are free to protest peacefully, so long as our anthem and flag are not disrespected. Good luck with revenues!”
If asked if he is encouraging a fan boycott, he can say “No, I’m just making a business observation.”
Oh, I agree, I was just addressing a piece of it... :-)
Last Sunday, I went fishing, instead. (Really funny but disturbing story — don’t have time to tell it all: Fed Game Warden who traipsed down a trail to check me didn’t know it was “National Hunting and Fishing Days” last weekend! Saw another similar account, too.)
Right....Hearing Steelers player Alejandro Villanueva apologizing for his “mistake” is like watching a POW giving a propaganda confession video.....end of story.
Nah.....Hearing Steelers player Alejandro Villanueva apologizing for his mistake is like watching a POW giving a propaganda confession video.....watch and see for yourself...it ain’t real.
Too bad he didn’t think to wink “SOS”. :-)
I saw one game when I was here by myself flipping channels one night.....sportscasters were in a major hype so I lingered there to see what about....never stopped watching for well over an hour and half as it went over time..more than once. Best game of anything I ever saw in my entire life in any sport! Even by myself I was jumping out of my chair and glued to the players every move .....and I never did that for any game! It was an historical win!...I was sold after that should I ever be a sports fan it would be “Ice” all the way!
His body language said enough...;)
Well thank you to your family for their service.... this nonsense though needs to be stopped...take their racial issues to their cities and clean up the ghettos then we’ll talk.
“Prior to the national anthem at their Monday Night Football matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, the entire Dallas Cowboys team, including owner Jerry Jones, took a knee. They then stood for the anthem.”
Doesn’t matter that they stood. The implication was made clear. Their feigned “respect” for the Nation Anthem was just a mockery made by their first act.
Wednesday, Oct. 4, with a four-game slate, highlighted by the Pittsburgh Penguins raising their fifth Stanley Cup championship banner before facing the St. Louis Blues at PPG Paints Arena...
I’ll be in the Mountains for that game! Trust we’ll be able to pick it up there!
