I started the ball rolling today to leave USAA after 40 years of insurance coverage. Their total tone deafness on the issue of a military themed insurance company sponsoring the NFL and their paternalistic answers to those asking them to stop is the final straw for me. I hate to leave them but I will not have my money supporting a group of dumb, clueless jocks who are self important because they make a lot of money but haven’t got a clue about the real world.

They offer banking, IRAs, car loans, mortgage loans. You do not have to be active or retired military to use them. Call them and they’ll sign you up for an affinity group. They sometimes have very good mortgage rates and CD rates.
