President Trump said that a primary win by Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore will open the seat for a Democratic win during a radio appearance Monday.
Trump, who traveled to Alabama Friday to stump for Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.), told the syndicated "Roy & Bubba" radio show based out of Birmingham, Alabama that Democrats will pour millions of dollars into the election if their candidate goes up against Moore.
"Luther Strange is going to be a great Senator. He loves Alabama, he loves the states and he loves the country. He will absolutely win against the Democrat,” Trump said, according to Alabama.com.
“Ray will have a hard time. If Luther wins, the Democrats will hardly fight. If Ray wins (Democrats) will pour in $30 million."
Trump also initially called Moore by the wrong name during the interview, referring to him as “Ray Moore.”
When host Rick Burgess pointed out that Moore’s name is Roy, Trump responded that it’s “not a good sign" if the president doesn’t know his name.
"I don't know that much about Roy Moore. Roy Moore is going to have a very hard time getting elected against the Democrat,” Trump said. “Against Luther they won't even fight."

All the hand wringing over this particular runoff election cracks me up.
Moore is going to win the run off & the general election. President Trump is going to get another supporter who’s not afraid to stand up to the GOPe in the Senate.
Look for a lot of RINO’s in the Senate to retire after Senator Moore is sworn into office.
Concern trolls will forever be concerned regardless.
It’s a shame I don’t like either one of them. But I will be voting for one of them against the democrat.
There were those who felt that way about Cruz, would rather have him lose to Hillary than Trump win.

I think so, yes, but we will never know. All I know is that we are going nowhere with 6’9” GOP-E hacks such as Strange Luther.
Moore has in the past said that homosexual acts should be illegal and that 9/11 was a punishment from God. Really not a smart thing to say even if true. Yes, I will vote for Moore and predict he’ll beat the Democrat. A DINO type would have a chance even in AL but in this case, the Democrat is a pro-abortion tax and spend liberal.
Rumor is Kushner is responsible for this bad endorsement on Trump’s part.
And now, Trump of course hates to lose.
But such claims as this one don’t make him look good—just as when he has tried to tell us that Obamacare 2.0 was a good bill, just to try for the win.

Trump is buying into the GOPe tactics against anyone they oppose. They trash the candidate and dismiss his chances of election, which damages the candidate and gives the Democrats lots of sound bites to use in the general election. Then the GOPe ensures that the successful candidate is not supported financially and that a number of high profile GOPe people come out during the election and say how they couldn’t possibly support such a person. You never give the ammunition to use against you. Unless of course you are conspiring with the enemy to keep independent thinkers from being elected to the Senate. Trump should know better.
Trump said Friday night in AL that he would campaign for whoever wins tomorrow’s election.
That would be Judge Moore.

The Establishment Republicans have been using this kind of reasoning (quite successfully I’m sorry to say) for some time now.
You may recall how the GOPe worked incessantly to derail Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, even though she won the primary fair and square.
COD would have likely put a significant wrench in the 0bamacare works, along with other advantages to her.

Yes because it doesn’t matter if we lose another Senate seat. At least we maintain our purity. Moore would be another spoiler to Trump’s agenda. Like Rand Paul. Note all the Never Trumpers and Cruzbots running to his rallies.

I want to see Murky from Alaska and Collins of Maine primarried out of office. Both are not Republicans and only their gender has saved them until now.

Collins shakes so much this means she has real health issues and should not seek another six years in the Senate.
I love Trump but he dfoes not know what he’s talking about. The Dem candidate has little chance to win whether its Strange or Moore as the GOP candidate.
