I think most Americans are still going to watch the games. They already know that many of the players are overpaid punks who might otherwise be sitting in prison if not for the ability to run, jump and handle a ball in a manner that entertains the masses. Like it or not, professional sports is about the only way out of the ghetto for many of these people, outside of rapping.

So I'm not among those who think that the NFL is going to go belly up anytime soon. Americans like to be entertained and not a lot of men would rather be painting the garage or raking leaves on a Sunday afternoon as opposed to drinking beer and watching a game on TV.

Just putting it all in context and being realistic.

I do think this helps President Trump. Americans respect a president who stands up for his country and calls out the few attention-seeking players who are disrespecting our country and flag. Like I said, a lot of these hateful thugs would be locked up in jail if not for the ability to jump, run and handle a ball.

Football is dying in suburbia. White kids play lacrosse, etc. now. It’s becoming a sport played by poor white and black kids. Asians and Hispanics have little interest in the game and those folks are an ever increasing piece of the demographic pie. While the NFL won’t go away it’s best days are definitely past.
