It’s really pretty funny when you look at what Goodell and these other dumbasses are saying, how they obviously do not come close to understanding who their real customers are. They are the same people who think that 30% of Americans are LBTQueers, that the polar bears are dying off in droves, and that Hillary would have won if it hadn’t been for Russian hackers.

I wonder if The NFL will decide not to have a national anthem thinking that will stop the los of angry conservative.

Life-long Redskins fan, but no more ... no NFL.
My entire family is following college ball now.

It really doesn’t matter. Stop watching - buy from Mom and pop stores and make your own food.

The vaunted sponsors won’t pay if nobody is watching and they CANT pay if they have less money to do so.

disney is already on the ropes with the cord cutters and ESPN is bleeding them dry. Just a few all day Sunday boycotts “kneel at home to show support for America” will irrevocably damage them. The league doesn’t have THAT much money.

There is a cognitive disconnect here.

Trump calls them out for Disrespecting the Flag and our national anthem and therefore our Nation and it’s values.

Yet all they see is Trump disrespecting the players and the owners and the league itself for letting this get this far.

I would say it’s hypocrisy, but it’s more cognitive disconnect. I.E they are dumb and have been hit in the head too many times.

In fact head injuries are so prevalent and long term perhaps the Federal Government can step in and regulate the industry.

“kneel at home to show support for America” -- I like that! Spread the word. :-)

What we've seen the first few weekends indicate that the NFL is on the wrong side of this issue: TV ratings down 9% from 2016 (which itself was down 12% from 2015) and fans staying away from the stadiums in droves.

If we see more protests from the players (and you KNOW that's going to happen), we could see ratings drop of 30% and stadium attendance drop 25%. That's the type of thing the NFL's official sponsors dislike a lot, and team owners are not going to like seeing team revenue take a hit like this, because the five TV networks (CBS, ESPN, FOX, NBC and NFL Network) are going to be more reluctant to shell out money for TV rights when the popularity of the league takes a literal hit like this.

Alternatives: walking, family golf outing, play with the pets, help the neighbors, see widows, place a larger flag out front, tell everyone we see we are no longer watching NFL and NBA and why, call/visit parents relatives, visit state memorial/parks,...for starters...

What are you gonna do when the college players start disrespecting the flag and take a knee?

Most of the colleges are hotbeds of Communism and America hating.

The solution is to stop playing the anthem before games.
They don’t do that before golf matches, boxing matches, or concerts and no one complains.

All this began under Obama. Thanks to zero, everything is now about racism and the notion by blacks that white people are racist and anything monument, any law, or any book existing before 1964 is inherently racist. Bear in mind that the majority of these athletes came of age during Obama’s presidency. All they heard for eight years is that whites are racist, police are pigs, and blacks are victims. they are brainwashed. economics be damned.

The fans (or lack thereof) will set the tone.

They won't stop with the anthem, this is about snuffing out all forms of patriotism.

If the 9ers and Rams lose any more fans in attendance, they are going to have to start herding the homeless into the stadium.
