“Blazing Saddles is interesting in that it depicts the white guys as stupid rednecks and bumbling fools and the black guys as smart and sophisticated.”
It set the precedent for all the TV shows and commercials today.

Are there reruns of “Amos n Andy” anywhere?

In 2012, Rejoice TV, a small independent television and Internet network in Houston, started re-airing the show weeknights on a regular, nationwide basis for the first time since CBS pulled the series from distribution in 1966
Look on youtube for episodes, also.

No, not that I know of; however, you CAN buy the discs of all of their shows.

Well, since we own ALL of the discs*, I can and have seen them all, many times over; but, thanks for the link. :-)
* And before that...we had them all on VCR tape. :-)

Blazing Saddles was one of my favorite movies growing up. Some classic lines.
"Scuse me while I whip this out"
"Mongo only pawn in game of life"
"How 'bout some more beans, Mr. Taggart? "
"I'd say you've had enough "

And in early 60s Amos and Andy took cartoon form, a fox and a bear, as Calvin and the Colonel

Here’s another reason Blazing Saddles wouldn’t be made today:
The black guy and the white guy get along just fine the entire movie.

I had a Jewish pal tell me 20 years ago that there are like 600 commandments."These fifteen Commandments --"
** one tablet crashes on the ground **
"These ten Commandments..."

All the Amos and Andy radio shows are right here, along thousands and thousands of others, all public domain and free for the taking. I listen to podcasts of old radio shows every day.

Mr. Taggart is a play off of “Atlas Shrugged”.
