Saw this *therapy dog* in Walmart yesterday. It is no more a service dog than Rand Paul is a socialist.
Damn thing lifted its leg on a stanchion in the pharmacy dep't.
Used to be, pets in stores was a big no-no in CT; laws were strictly enforced. The lines are crossed so often, managers are afraid to confront these owners. Fraidyscared.
The woman who had the dog in Walmart, didn't even pay any attention to what the dog had done. Waddled off without any awareness.
I've seen the same thing in the grocery area. So, generally, I don't buy ANYthing on the bottom shelves.
If I am the business owner, this goes on for no more than ten seconds. I then am asking her to leave, telling her to leave, then frog marching her foul self out the door and pushing her off my property.
All lawful too.
If you as a business owner allow this type of disorder, you will lose business.
I live in a very liberal city in Canada, but the people here are dog crazy. Stores leave little bowls of water everywhere, people call their dogs their children. It’s nuts. And par for the course. Surprised this woman was so put off.
The manager waited FAAAAAAAAAAAAR too long to step in. Stupid woman should have been exited after 3 seconds into the tirade.
Too many people just observing, standing around ...they could have driven her out without touching her.
“...does anyone want to guess what socio-ethnic group this woman belongs to?”
Yes, but did you notice her long-suffering husband was white? I can’t imagine what his life is like on a daily basis.
NE1 found out who this huzzy is in the age of the internet?
It wasn't the dog.
I've taken my trained dog onto the patio area of a restaurant which is clearly identified as dog friendly.. He lays under the table.
He doesn't belong in the inside area. There are many people allergic to dogs, or fearful of dogs or have other reasons not to want to eat near a dog. It's too bad common sense and courtesy are so rare.
I can agree with the people who don’t want animals, including dogs in a restaurant.
On the other hand, there is a proper way to show dissatisfaction.
In a well-mannered way, tell the waiter/waitress that you won’t eat in a restaurant that allows dogs, pay for any food that you have already eaten and leave. And don’t go back to that establishment.
Not start screaming and yelling and causing a scene.
Her husband would be entitled to bring a dog into the restaurant, too, if he decided to leave his casket for dinner.
Wonder where it was - down here on the MS Gulf Coast, the lady would have faced most of the customers telling her to shut o=up or leave if she didn’t like it.
The above link has the names of 1. restaurant 2. city 3. female patron 4. veteran as well as more details of the entire thing. There is also a link embedded of the restaurant’s facebook page and comments.
