Let’s put it simply - as long as they break none of our laws, every frigging country in the world has the right to “interfere” in our elections. We’ve been doing it to other countries for ages.
Do you think they will “investigate” the US’ (read: Obama’s) much more egregious and overt interference in the Israeli elections involving PM Netanyahu? Obama’s interference in Israel’s election is well documented and clearly violated the laws of both sovereign countries.
So, for the Left, it’s really not of importance that Russia interfered in our elections as a sovereign nation as much as it’s an issue that their candidate lost and they lost political power. That is what really chaffs them, not some “good for democracy” political fig leaf. That’s the political ghost their chasing here.
If they really cared about the electoral integrity of the democratic process of a sovereign nation then they would practice their Dick Tracey routine with Obama’s involvement in Israel’s election. But alas, it’s more Leftist hokum once again deceptively packaged to try and fool and manipulate the low-information types.
Moreover, this is not about the 2016 election, this little grandstanding exercise is really about setting up 2018 and 2020.
