I saw a movie where a guy did a flying back kick and took out the knife. I bet he flew 30 feet. They could try that.
When I worked in Corrections, there was an inmate who had pulled a knife on a cop. The officer had not drawn his gun, but had his baton in hand. He beat the knife-hand, and then the perp’s head. Brave, and skillful, policeman.
