Throwing people out without being able to effectively close the door behind them is a fool’s mission, as is evidenced by the illegals who finally kill someone and bring real attention to themselves and we find our “government” has deported them a dozen or more prior times.
Do you really think a wall is going to stop illegal immigration? Slow it down sure, but stop it? no way particularly since a lot of it is people coming on tourist or student visas and then just not going back when they expire.
Yes that is a fact. A wall or secure barrier on the border is not symbolic, it is a requirement or they just come right back.
