Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said that President Donald Trump would not make a deal with Democrats on immigration that does not include funding for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Conway said, “The president has made clear, including this week that if there’s no funding for the wall, no deal can be made. He said it as plainly as possible for all to hear. Those are the president’s words take it to the bank. Secondly, bipartisanship is a means; it is not an end, it is not a goal or an objective here. It is a vehicle by which you get things done particularly when you need 60 votes in the Senate for certain matters.”

It does not matter whether the liberal swampdwellers actually believe the wall will work or not. The objective is to get Trump to agree to an ever smaller increment, while dangling some sort of bait to draw him in even further, and therefore, eventually totally co-opt him as was done with Arnold Schwartzenegger in California, who started out with all the seemingly right conservative principles, then was (not so) gradually assimilated by the California Borg.
But he will put a hold on the scorched earth program the day funding is approved for the Wall. And scorched earth will resume the day ANY judge interferes with Wall construction, for any reason or pretext.
There should be no ‘deal’ to begin with Kelly.
The illegal invasion not only has to be stopped in its tracks, but REVERSED, meaning the ones who are here illegally are sent packing.
The wall was supposed to be paid by the mexicans, was it not? Simply put a fee on the millions that are transferred from the US to mexico. Or force them to sell us oil at $2/bbl - how about that?

If Trump is supposedly a "deal maker," how did he allow himself to be bamboozled by the old DC "rope-a-dope" of "give us what we want now and we will give you what you want later?"

Agreed! The idea that we have to give more to the 10s of millions of illegal aliens in our midst than we already have is insane!
There is no reason we should give citizenship to even more or even any form of amnesty to allow such thieves and beneficiaries of theft to stay here legally.

If I were Trump I’d declare a state of emergency for a massive protection of the border until such a wall is fully built and effectively contributing to the cause.

Sounds more like: ‘if not this, then no that’, implying ‘if this, then that’. Far different than simply saying ‘no’.

The President CAN militarize an international border anytime he wants. (We only have two) The problem is regular troops need forts and jail/incarceration facilities which we do not have on the border.
DACA is done. Any illegal caught doing ANYTHING will be deported. Any jurisdiction declaring itself a “sanctuary” will have all politicians who voted for it indicted and charged under 8 USC 1324 for harboring illegals.
