My wife has been gone for may years but if she were alive I would give her the same advice.
On the other hand if I had been there and seen what I saw on the video there is no way I would have shot him. He looked really clumsy and was not acting in a hard core hyped up manner. He just looked confused.
I would first have used pepper spray and that would have worked 99.99 percent of the time. If that did not work, then go to a tazer. If that did not work, shoot the almost immobile guy in the foot.
If he ever did make a lunge at me or appear to be able to, then I would have shot him.
At that distance, if he lunges, you win but lose a spleen. We don’t pay them that much.
If you are going to try to shoot someone in the foot, you shouldn’t carry a gun.
