The mother of the dead student now admits that he tried to hang himself a couple years back. A sane society would have recognized this as a cry for help, but not PC-land. Instead, he went on his gay and goofy way as the leader of the progressive LGBT-whatever at Georgia Tech.

Sadly, his mother herself calls him "they"--until she forgets, as in the interview: “Scout was always a perfectionist,” Lynne Schutlz said. “They always worried he was going to fail a test but got all A’s and only two B’s at Tech.”
