A Christian numerologist claims that the world will end next Saturday when a planet will, supposedly, collide with Earth.
According to Christian numerologist David Meade, verses in Luke 21:25 to 26 are the sign that recent events, such as the recent solar eclipse and Hurricane Harvey, are signs of the apocalypse.
The verses read:
25: There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
"'26: Mens hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.'
Sept. 23 is a date that was pinpointed using codes from the Bible, as well as a "date marker" in the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
Meade's views are not endorsed by Roman Catholic, Protestant or eastern Orthodox branches of Christianity.

Scientists have been surprised by asteroids before. They can't watch everything.
Besides, I could see them not telling anyone cause of the widespread panic it would cause over something no one can do anything about.
"Preamble: Destroying the Earth is harder than you may have been led to believe."
One of the current storms out in the Atlantic is named Maria.
It's a Cat 3 and heading for the islands.

Matthew 24
36But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
There are over 100 passages that do tell us when He would return. Here’s the list:

When were the names determined? I’ve never really looked at that because I’ve never had reason to be curious before now.
Whether this be the date or another one in the future . . . I wonder what the comments will be here on FreeRepublic?
- Oh! We should have been ready!
- What is going to happen now?
. . . but the scariest thing is that those that proclaim their conservatism today will embrace the coming world ruler who will not be a constitutionalist by any means.
Unfortunately, as is often stated by bible believers - be ready for ye know not when! yet so many will not listen - and will be caught in the tsunami known as the 7-year tribulation period.
btw, it is then that such verses as he that endureth to the end shall be saved and Here is the perseverance (endurance, steadfastness) of the saints who KEEP the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
So what will be the comments posted here on the day after?

On the other hand, if an interstellar catastrophic event were about to occur that would cause widespread panic, hysteria, and total chaos, the Democrats already would be on all of the cable news shows blaming Trump.

Well, that sucks. I’m supposed to be getting the house painted then.
Read these denunciations of Christian zealots and”Bible Thumpers.” Quite the crowd.
“I wonder if somebody got their kicks from messing with the Bible-thumpers by naming the two hurricanes following Irma the Spanish equivalent of Joseph and Mary, to coincide with near-hysteria in certain quarters over September 23?”
Lol. Good catch!
I’m not sure.
I think there are lists already made up and when a storm is bad, I know they retire the name and replace it from another list.
But beyond that, I don’t know.
I could see that, while they are all safely in their bunkers hoping for the best and leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves.
:)
If it’s truly random it’s a weird coincidence, having José and Maria coming up just now. If it’s not, it’s somebody getting their jollies messing with naive fundamentalists.
It would have been a far better coincidence if they had named the storms ‘Enoch’, ‘Elijah’ or perhaps ‘Moses.’ Two of these named are believed to be the two witnesses who will be killed by the Antichrist and then are resurrected.
Even if we could know the date and time, there is no guarantee that any of us will live to see that date. The Bible tells us to be ready at all times.
