2005 Atlantic Hurricane season took us well into the greek alphabet and is the most active Atlantic hurricane season on record. Of note—2005 also contained the same recycled storm names as 2017 (Harvey, Jose, Maria), with the exceptions of those retired in 2005 (e.g. Katrina, Rita, Wilma, etc.)
Expect some to retire this year as well.
Intense and exhausting season.
To me it doesn’t make sense naming an alphabetical storm Jose. Josie I could see.
It’s like spelling something out on the phone and saying “P” as in “psychology”.
