Wear a cotton shirt? Racis' bastard! You'll pay for offending us. Is the phrase including "tall oak" offensive to "little people"? As for apologizing? What a friggin' wuss. Should have said, "It's a plant. You have a problem with plants?"

Where will this madness end? Are we going to stop planting trees because some trees were once used to lynch people?

The content of the centerpieces was offensive, and I could have handled the situation with more sensitivity, said Lowry. I sincerely apologize for the discomfort, anger or disappointment we caused and solicit your forgiveness.
What an idiot.

If we're lucky, cotton to Negros is like the cross to vampires... Next time there is a BLM riot, bring cotton balls with you!

I’d bet just as many poor whites picked cotton in the South as did slaves. I know when my family and friends picked cotton there were no blacks in the fields. This pc crap is ridiculous. Someone’s g g g g grandfather was a slave so they’re offended by a cotton stalk?

The only cotton these blacks every picked was out of an aspirin bottle.

They’ve been saying that cotton is “racist” for years now.
I recall an old thread here (are threads racist too now?) about a woman who threw a fit at a clothing store because there was some raw cotton on display near some dress shirts.

Hemp should be banned because it was used to make rope.

What a sniveling coward.
Hope he get the same treatment as the president of Mizzou:
Tim Wolfe resigned as the University of Missouri System president came after months of escalating racial tension
Remember Randy, these people never forgive - or forget so you might as well get it over with and resign now. Your departure for such blatant, insensitive racism will be celebrated.
Hope the alums take notice - and prospective parents like me. I'd never send my child to a campus run by a racist and coward like you.

The following is NOT a joke:
A large pad (20x30 inches) of paper on a display stand used by presenters at meetings and seminars can no longer be called a “flip chart”
It might offend Filipinos!

My grandmother and grandfather picked cotton in California. The field was full of white Okies picking cotton. I was about 4 and remember because I stayed home from school and went to work with them. Rode on my grandfathers sack while he pulled it down the rows.
My stepdad ran a cotton gin most of his career. He was foreman when the gin was running and did maintenance on the off season.
Guess I should have a bigger aversion to cotton than these idiots.....but I don’t.

As far as I'm aware, electrical engineers are still using the term "master-slave flip-flop."

Arizona used to have a cotton industry and the cotton was picked by white anglos. Some of their grandchildren still keep momentos of those days, including miniature bales of cotton.
