You may request a full credit report once a year from each of the Big 3 with no cost and no impact to your credit score. Many people space them out at 4 months intervals to provide more granularity to their monitoring.

Do you know if it is once every calendar year? Or once every 12 months? If it is calendar year, I could run all three today, then repeat every 4 months starting January 1. If it is every 12 months, I will only run Equifax today.

Thanks for the reminder about these guys. I just put annual reminders in Outlook on Jan 1, May 1, and Sept 1 for the three agencies.

I read that you should check with annualcreditreport after the Equifax debacle...but choose only one....and then check again in 3 months...and another 3 months....

I checked mine and it seemed very clean...

but how do you PREVENT identity theft?....its better than trying to clean up afterwards...

Equifax just presented this after requesting my credit report from them. I wonder if this is related to the breach.
